The collection is based on a material research on ceramic sculptures combined with stuffed textiles. The relationships that arise, reminded me of our bodies - fragil, dynamic, fluid, hard, rigid, hybrid, malleable, flowing - they coexist, refer to each other, merge or imitate. These fragilities we find in materials but also in our bodies and identities. DANZ relies on local production. It is very important to us to keep the production routes as short as possible in order to gain an insight into the working conditions and to keep the ecological impact as small as possible. All printed fabrics from the collection 2023 are screenprinted in Mitloedi, Switzerland. A huge part of the collection is made out of deadstock fabrics.
